Order Acceptance

All orders are accepted upon receipt of a properly completed order form which must include a valid Visa or MasterCard account number.

Shipping

RBF reserves the right to ship all orders with RBF preferred carriers. Orders are shipped FOB distribution center. Purchaser assumes the risk of loss of damage to furniture during shipment, unless orders are delivered by RBF personell. Freight will be prepaid and added to the final invoice unless otherwise directed by RBF Credit Manager

Freight Claims:

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to inspect, verify and sign acceptance of merchandise in excellent condition. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that receiving is done properly. DO NOT SIGN FOR ANY MERCHANDISE THAT APPEARS DAMAGED AND IS NOT VERIFIED WITH THE NUMBER OF ITEMS TO BE RECEIVED. Freight claims, loss or damage filings are to be filed by the purchaser with the carrier upon receipt of merchandise. RBF assumes no responsibility for submission or resolution of any freight claim filed by the purchaser.

Cancellations:

Orders may be cancelled without charge if cancellation notice is received in writing and confirmed by RBF within three working days after order was placed. Orders cancelled after three working days will incur a 30% restocking charge.

Return Authorization

Product returns and will be accepted if request is made within ten days of receipt of product. No product will be accepted for return that has been damaged or modified. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to return product within the specified time frame and in good condition. Purchaser will also assume all shipping costs related with return. Return Authorizations can be requested from the RA Service Manager. A return authorization form will be issued and must be included with returned product. Upon receipt of returned product the customers Visa or MasterCard card will be credited for the amount of the merchandise purchase less a 30% restocking charge.

Warranty:

Remanufactured Business Furniture (RBF) warrants its remanufactured and refurbished products to meet minimum OEM standards and to be free from defects in materials and workmanship given normal use and care. The general warranty is for a period of 10 years from the date of delivery, except as follows:

(a) High ware parts including castors and fabric have a three (3) year warranty. (b)Warranty coverage on new pneumatic lift mechanisms and electrical parts will be limited to a period of 5-years.

RBF’s obligation under this warranty is limited to correcting, without charge, at its factory, or in the field, any equipment or parts proven to be defective within the warranty period. This warranty does not apply to damage made during shipment, by any carriers other than RBF, or storage, or resulting accident, misuse, alteration or abuse. In the case of customer owned product which has been refurbished by RBF, this warranty applies only to the specific work done to that product and no other parts or areas.

It should be understood by the purchaser that RBF will remanufacture systems to a “like new condition”. All painted metal cosmetic surfaces including exposed binder bin doors and drawer fronts will be free from blemishes. At time, minor blemishes may be found on unexposed painted metal surfaces and are considered to be inherent to the recycling process. These blemishes are warranted not to interfere or detract from the function of the furniture.

Lead times:

Lead times may vary based upon market conditions and product demand. Lead times will be quoted upon receipt of complete order. Change orders may delay delivery of the entire order. Shipping dates projected by RBF represent our best estimate at the time expressed. Unless there is a separate written agreement signed by an officer of RBF. RBF shall not incur any cost or other liability to Buyer as a result of our failure to ship by any projected shipping date.

Storage

RBF recognizes that there are times when office space is not be ready to accept shipment. RBF will offer two weeks of free storage prior to installation. After two weeks a daily charge of $10 per day will be billed for protective storage.
